Half way through the conversation, Garrett reveals that he knows all about her supernatural powers, and he is willing to help her. Skeptical and untrusting, she is only willing to take a step forward because of his warm smile. He reveals his limp is a byproduct of black magic gone wrong, the demons and devils he had to cope with; he wants to help her discover her true story, the horror of it all.
