There were or say are many problems in searching a suitable boy for marriage of a girl in India, particularly in lower middle class families. The first barricade is caste. Second barricade is sub caste. Again there is 'gotra' and 'pur' and 'shaakha' and many more. There are many types of 'doshes' like 'nari dosh' etc.. A 'mangla' boy may marry only a 'mangla' girl and so on. Prabha is fortunate enough as she gets married surpassing all such hurdles. She revers her husband as God as per prevalent assumption but her married life did not last long as her husband is haughty and snobbish and turns himself from god to besmirched god by his own behaviour and acts. After many years of divorced life she finds one of his colleagues who is widower and attracted towards her. She decides to marry her but could not. Reason? There was similirity in his lover and ex husband.
