King, Stephen M.

Stephen Michael King grew up in Sydney, Australia. When he was nine, he was partially deaf, but no one noticed that he had a hearing problem. King turned to art to communicate without using words, and eventually his illustrations won him numerous awards. He lives on an island off the coast of Australia in a mud-brick house.
