Samuel Conner, born 1950 in Glen Cove, New York; while entering my senior year of high school, I was asked to write an article for the local newspaper about my opinion of race relations. We're talking 1968 then. Congressman Lester Wolff of our district read it and read my speech before the Senate and House of Representatives. It was then officially entered into The Congressional Record. He sent a copy for me of the Congressional Record to the editor of the Locust Valley Leader newspaper. After graduating Locust Valley High School, I entered the army where I became a communications specialist.
