Univ.-Prof. Mag.pharm. Dr.rer.nat. Dr.phil. Sabine Krist studied pharmacy at the University of Vienna. After her doctoral studies in the natural sciences and in philosophy, she qualified as a professor in the subject of pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Vienna in 2010. Since 2016, she holds the chair of Medicinal Chemistry at the Sigmund Freud University of Vienna, Austria.
Main research areas: Volatile compounds in pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry and analytical chemistry (device-related, Sensory science); science awards: Award of the Kardinal Innitzer-Foundation (2009), Czedik-Eysenberg-Award of the Austrian Chemical Society (2010), Young Investigator Award of the Faculty of Life Sciences/University of Vienna (2010), Honorary Prize of the Dr. Maria Schaumayer-Foundation (2012), Science Award of the Country Lower Austria (2015).
Sabine Krist has written numerous professional articles and the books “Die Erforschung der chemischen Sinne” (Lang, Vienna 2006) and “Volatile Compounds” (Lang, Vienna 2011).
