Jubran Akram holds a PhD degree in Geophysics from the University of Calgary (Canada) with a specialization in microseismic data analysis and algorithms development. His postdoctoral research experience includes work at the University of Calgary and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia). He has also worked in the petroleum industry in various positions involving the processing of seismic and microseismic data, and research and development (technical & software). Currently, he is the managing director (technology development) at Zero-Offset Technology Solutions, Inc., Calgary, Canada.
This book is designed as an excellent resource text for students and professionals, providing an in-depth overview of the theory and applications of downhole microseismic monitoring of hydraulic fracturing. The readers will benefit greatly from the detailed explanation on the processes and workflows involved in the acquisition design modeling, processing and interpretation of microseismic data.
