'This Dead Guy Looks Like You.' Harris is a forensic artist who, on a routine visit to the mortuary is told, 'This dead guy looks like you.' As the comment follows an earlier phone call which suggested he might be a victim of identity fraud, he arranges to meet with the woman Hazel, who has contacted him. Together they agree to follow the clues they have in an attempt to uncover the truth. When they discover the imposter's associates are unaware he is lying on a slab in the mortuary, they decide they might find out more if they take over his life; for Harris to become him. What begins as light-hearted fun as their romance develops, quickly leads to a web of intrigue and danger. Harris becomes so successful at impersonating his double, he finds eventually he is accused of his crimes, one of which is his own murder. When his enemies use Hazel to seek their revenge and the law doesn't believe him, Harris has few weapons other than his initiative and creative mind. He must become as ruthless as they are, if he is to free them both. Using both characters to create confusion, he is able to satisfy each of his adversaries in turn. His final challenge is to prove without question who he really is. This he achieves by successfully carrying out a task only he could complete.
