In this, my second book of poetry, you will find words and full color pictures that speak of my life, my home, and those beings that share both with me. I'm inviting you in. These birds, these animals, are all parts of what shapes me. Although I explored the faces of the Goddess, especially perhaps Her Darker Self, in my first book, these poems are more homely. Smaller creatures move about here: the birds that bless my feeders, my three rescue dogs, the chipmunks that live under the sheds, the anole peeking from the bushes. But never fear, the Lord and Lady dwell here as well. They are attended by other Spirits of this place: the Bear, and the Fox, magical beings whose physical presences are not in evidence, but whose spiritual lessons and blessings abound; and the ghost of my father, who to this day informs all my writing with his unseen editorship, for example. To be honest, I'm not quite sure about the anole - he is a Guardian of this place, and may not be really here at all... Thanks you for joining me.
