While there, he also became a one-time action movie star, but not liking the life in the spotlight, he went back to live in the quiet village of San Pepe where he became a wrecker driver. Even as a layman working in an assortment of different occupations, the man continued his miraculous ministry and his constant battle against the hordes of Satan. He performed the exorcism of a young widow in the City of Leon. Being a man after God's own heart, he was also empowered by the Holy Spirit to become the World's Greatest Athlete when he won the first professional international decathlon celebrated in San Pepe. The Prince of Darkness had tried convincing God to let him put the mystic to the test once more; however, the Almighty refused to do so. The evil one was warned to stay away from Gabriel and his family, but obedience is not one of the traits of the immortal foe.
