People found more time to visit in those less hectic days. Hard times and economic limitations bound the folks together as they saw first hand Roosevelt 's New Deal unfold and Big Government become more involved in the lives of the individual. Many of these changes were welcome and some not, as times shaped and honed the individual's spirit that made it possible to survive. This book is a collection of stories lived and told by people linked together by a proud and colorful heritage, which bound them together and created a brotherhood often referred to as Southern hospitality. These stories share the goodness of men and their ability to succeed when things looked impossible.
