Many organizations see Lean Six Sigma as the evolution of the Six Sigma methodology rather than a modification. Lean Six Sigma takes the fundamentals of Six Sigma and incorporates the cost reduction principles of Lean Manufacturing.

The author is a Short Service Commissioned Officer from Indian Air Force. He obtained his B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad ,U.P. India and M.Tech degree in Industrial Engineering from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He has wide technical experience in manufacturing industries and teaching in technical institutes. Presently, he is working in Modern Institute of Technology & Research Centre, Alwar, Rajasthan, India as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has published one research paper in International Journal.
