Lou joined the USAF as chaplain in 1962, served at bases: K I Sawyer AFB, Upper Peninsula in MI; Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, AK; Key West Naval Air Station, FL; Bergstrom AFB, Austin TX; Tan Son Knut AB, Saigon, VN; Luke AFB, Phoenix, AZ; Hancock Field, Syracuse, NY; Izmir, Turkey; Mc Chord AFB, Tacoma, WA' Camp New Amsterdam, Soesterberg, the Netherlands. Lou retired from the AF in 1988, as, Chaplain, Lt Col, Louis E. Kok, USAF. Retired after serving in the AF 26 years, 7 months, and 19 days. Fran and Lou retired in Lynden, WA where they continue to live now.
