Climate change and the scarcity of water resources have placed the water sector in Morocco at the center of government interest, due to its decisive role in ensuring the country's water security and supporting its development, particularly irrigated agriculture. This situation has prompted the scientific community and national authorities to look for an alternative resource to promote the reuse of treated wastewater in irrigation, which could alleviate this water crisis. This study evaluates the performance of the low-load activated sludge wastewater treatment plant by analyzing the quality of raw and treated (domestic) wastewater. A comparison with the Moroccan and international recommendations reveals that the results of the on-site and pollution parameters show that the effluent of this treatment plant is within the standard acceptable limit for irrigation.
