This wonderful book of musings by Donald L. Stroup was written for his family as an enduring and humorous account of his life, family, and times during the 1900's. Remembrances and Observations written by my father, Donald L Stroup, is humor at its best. If you are looking for pure entertainment involving everyday life, you don't want to miss this read. Everyone can relate to being put on hold by someone who happens to have call waiting or music to hold by. What about growing up in a small town with a population of about 600 where the mail was grabbed by a hook as a speeding train came through town. There is even a helpful hint on how to remove cat hair from furniture without injuring the cat. How many of us are disappointed that we cannot look under our car anymore while the garage mechanic has it up on the lift? Sometimes it takes much patience to go through the checkout counter at a grocery store with the wife who doesn't even have her billfold out of her purse before the groceries are rung up. My parents had three daughters all married in December several years apart. There was a University of Kentucky basketball game at the time of the third wedding and the minister shortened the ceremony to eight minutes. Enjoy and laugh much.
