Life offers humanity the "Beautiful Struggle." The struggle individuals go through in their personal lives, to achieve success in whatever we seek to accomplish. The choice to pursue and capture what has eluded most people...happiness. Through adversity we build a stronger, more resilient and wiser human being. This is the Beauty in the struggle, the realization through conflict within us, do we grow and remove the entitled husk of our adolescence. When a person makes the decision to flourish in life and not merely survive day to day. They begin to awaken and remove the haze from their eyes, and see what was meant for them. The tireless effort that is required brings about many challenges, failures and triumphs. It is the lessons in life that molds us into the person we become. That is why, Beautiful is the Struggle. The Beautiful Struggle There is an acquired understanding of the true struggle in life bridged between the hidden initiation to become a man. We all play our part to exist as human beings molded by the trails of our experiences. In some instances during our early development inhaling the living breath, we are shielded by parents, siblings or wealth combined with good fortune. Then as the script plays out we each have our applause in glee mixed with unwanted boo's in self-pity. I myself have experienced the darker side of the world at a young age, exposed to some of the harsher realities of what the journey has to offer. I can remember dejectedly waiting in frustration, then asking God when these unfortunate circumstances would change for the better. To my un-suspecting eyes lessons were being taught for a reason, resulting in inner strength increased with each disappointment. A marathon runner's stamina became my foundation gained for the long distance race which set before me. This newfound revelation as I grew sprouted into something beautiful through gratification earned not given, gained not taken, ultimately revealing something not easily noticed. Then like a spring flower emerging out of an unseen crack in concrete, resilience would be my weapon of choice, sharpening the resolve that I would need and call upon time and time again, as I slowly came to appreciate and anticipate the determination, discipline and dedication manifesting from...The Beautiful Struggle. The mark of a true poet is the ability to write little, but convey understanding to a broad audience, the complexities of content with a unique mastery of communication. In other words saying very little but explaining a lot. I have paired together a collection of authentic poetry, transcending the reader through the different levels and aspects of love, through life's cycle. I think the reader must be prepared to absorb imagery and brace themselves for compelling language. This journey through the sphere of "Red Love" will invoke the mind, emotions and the creative soul. The reader will be transported safely to the other side, to partake in life with a new vigor and perspective.
