In the year 2015 the world is going along at it's regular pace, in the middle of a technology driven era. Human's claim their place at the top of the food chain, divvying out world power based on currency and popularity. That comes to a halt in the middle of the summer when a sleeper virus starts infecting people around the world. The infected suffer briefly before dying as their body undergoes a huge metamorphosis into a vessel of the disease. The newly created vehicles of transference are inborn with an insane hunger for the flesh of the uninfected. The saliva of a puppet body is coarse with the genetic material necessary to reproduce in a potential host's bloodstream. The bite of an infected spreads the plague quickly and relentlessly. The populace of the planet is tested as the affects of the pandemic spread out onto the streets and into their homes. The first season of four in this series focuses on a select few in Northern America that show promise. Despite the odds these modern heroes use their skills, intelligence and good fortune to survive. They'll need all of these things to make it in a world where there are: nightmares in the street, a quick growing lack of food, an abrupt lack of medical care and other dangers that are inherent to human nature. The hope inside of these nomads may dwindle from time to time, but as their numbers grow and their sense of community gets stronger they will either succeed and rebuild a new society or crumble from the inside out. There are many of them, with many ideas about how and why things should be done. The slate is wiped clean leaving all the possibilities of the human heart to finally make good on creating a better world. As the Earth spins and life on the surface continues to change and adjust; they will be the ones that can answer the question: Was the zombie apocalypse a good thing?
