"No man is but a multitude of thoughts/Solitude is but a fete for me," articulates the illustrious poet of East, Ghalib, implying the spatiotemporal shifts of human mind. These words have always enthralled me kindling my interest in notions of time and space, in complex working of human mind and in gray zones where boundaries blur. Therefore I decided to delve into this theme of journeying across time and space. In a comparative study I brought together two genres drama and fiction while establishing possible worlds as a binding cord that contributes towards the construction of absurd world in these texts and aiming to give particular projection to South Asian authors. I explored how the characters move through different worlds of desires and dreams because they feel nothingness within and without while the arrivals are the departures in disguise.
