It will be time that will grant or cast back the testimonies that for more than three generations have allowed the natives of Chimalhuacán Atenco to sustain themselves as a depository group of legends and traditions of their region; legends and traditions, based on which they support their permanence as custodians of the history that only when narrated by them acquires veracity. A documentary investigation allowed us to establish that it was approximately during the last decade of the XIX century and the dawn of the XX century when the group of neighbors of Chimalhuacán Atenco named themselves or called themselves natives of the region, presuming that the ancestral origin of their surname allowed them to trace their lineage back to the XVI century, so that the right to call themselves natives was granted to them by generational means.

Bachelor's Degree in History and Master's Degree in History and Ethnohistory from the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH). Since 2015, I have been documenting the rescue of the town of Santa Isabel Ixtapa, Municipality of San Salvador Atenco, a project that aims to write the ethnohistory of the town. I currently collaborate with UNIEM.
