Sir Anthony Kenny is one of the most distinguished and prolific philosophers of our time. John Cottingham is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Reading and an Honorary Fellow of St John's College, Oxford University. He has served as Chairman of the British Society for the History of Philosophy, as President of the Mind Association, and as President of the Aristotelian Society. Peter Hacker is Emeritus Research Fellow at St John's College, Oxford, where he was a Tutorial Fellow in philosophy from 1966 to 2006. He was an undergraduate at the Queen's College, Oxford, a graduate student at St Antony's, and a Junior Research Fellow at Balliol. He has held visiting chairs in north America, and both British Academy and Leverhulme Senior Research Fellowships.
