Throughout my life, there are certain words or phrases that I have heard frequently spoken by women, young and old alike. There is one, however, when said with annoyance that seems to be becoming increasingly popular. "MEN " It is usually followed by a "humm " sound, from the woman making the comment, or a shaking of her head with eyes looking upward in disbelief, as if seeking strength from above. As I have gotten older, I seem to hear this phrase more and more. In the supermarkets, on the street, in stores, even at family gatherings, it seems to be the catch phrase that unites women in sisterhood. When one of them openly makes this comment, all others within earshot nod in agreement mumbling, "You got that right Amen " Maybe the reason I seem to be hearing this phrase more and more, is because I have had a selection of men to deal with, in my own life, and can relate whole heartedly every time I hear an exasperated female voice say, "MEN " Well, I have sat up and taken notice. With a father, ex-husband, son, grandson, and new husband under my belt, I have had a pretty good glimpse into the male psyche, at all stages of their lives, and it can be frustrating as well as hilarious. I have pooled my own experiences, as well as those of other women to gather some situations where men and women definitely go their separate ways in the thought-processing department. This is a light-hearted romp for women; to be taken in the spirit it was offered: Fun. We love these guys unconditionally and couldn't live without them. However, after reading some of my experiences and other stories, in this book, you will see that you are not alone when dealing with a member of the opposite sex, and you suddenly ask yourself, "Is it me?" Men really do think differently than women. And you will never again feel guilty when you hear that phrase spoken and you shake your head in agreement and echo, "MEN "
