Based on the drivers of the development of logistics, the success factors of logistics management in excellent companies are analyzed. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Christian Pfohl conducts research at Darmstadt University of Technology, particularly in the field of logistics/supply chain management. He also holds a professorship at the Chinese-German University College of Tongji University Shanghai, China. As a visiting professor, he teaches at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém, Hungary. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Logistics Association (ELA) and is head of the ELA Research Committee.
