Based in Brooklyn, Tyler Mitchell works across many genres to explore and document a new aesthetic of Blackness. Regularly published in avant-garde magazines, commissioned by prominent fashion houses, and exhibited in renowned art institutions, Mitchell has lectured at Harvard University, Paris Photo and The International Center of Photography New York, on the politics of image making.
Deborah Willis is a contemporary African-American artist, photographer, curator of photography, photographic historian, and author. Among her awards and honors, she was a MacArthur Fellow in 2000. She is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Photography and Imaging at Tisch School of the Arts of New York University.
Hans-Ulrich Obrist is Co-director of Exhibitions and Programmes and Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery, London.
