The career of Iraqi artist Mahmoud Obaidi (born 1966) has been marked by conflict and exile. Fragments assembles his politically charged art alongside a conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist.

Following the 2014 publication of Hans Ulrich Obrist's The Czech Files, this publication brings together 11 interviews with Indian artists and cultural producers carried out in the 2000s and 2010s by Obrist in the artists' studios or exhibitions.
