O autorze

Georg Schwedt, geb. 1943, studierte Chemie in Göttingen und promovierte an der Universität Hannover. Im Anschluss übernahm er eine Abteilungsleitung am Chemischen Untersuchungsamt Hagen, habilitierte sich 1978 in Analytischer Chemie an der Universität Siegen, und wurde, nach einer Professur für Analytische Chemie in Göttingen, Direktor des Instituts für Lebensmittelchemie und Analytische Chemie der Universität Stuttgart. Von 1987-2006 war er Professor für Anorganische und Analytische Chemie an der TU Clausthal. Seit seiner Emeritierung ist er an der Universität Bonn tätig. Georg Schwedt entwickelte das Schülermitmachlabor SuperLab und ist mit seinen zahlreichen Experimentalvorträgen u. a. zur Lebensmittelchemie bundesweit bekannt. Zweimal wurde er vom Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft im Förderprogramm Wissenschaft im Dialog ausgezeichnet. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Sach- und Lehrbücher.
