Mom is the genuine article, an authentic, and bona fide for real-deal. I've seen most of the heartaches and struggles she has had to go thru over the past fifty years, and I can attest that she always met hardships in exactly the same way: she trusted in her God, unequivocally and irrevocably. She believes, prays long, and during her ninety-one years, has experienced God's presence in a way that most of us would envy. To best describe her poetry, I would have to say it was as if she had touched the hem of God's garment, and the words of her poetry were the best way she could find to share His presence with the rest of the world.
