This study has been conducted to the socio-economic condition of the female workers in fish processing industry. The average age of the female workers is 28.6 years,31% are illiterate, 44% are married, average family members are 5, 58% are permanent workers. Most of them are divorce, widow and unmarried. The physicians of any industry have no chamber in the industry premise. There is no arrangement for childcare center. Average salary of the permanent workers is Tk.2301.7 per month and salary of the temporary workers depends on their work. 72% of female workers contribute their total income to their families. 73% of the female workers do not get overtime facility, training facility is not provided, and no residence facility is given, 43% of the workers has small piece of land. 66% of the workers do not enjoy their job because of hard work, small payment and lack of facilities. 79% of the female workers are discriminated in comparison to male workers. 60% of the workers being harassed in industry like physical, mental, eve teasing etc. Trade union is present in one industry. Most of the workers (78%) have no job security. Only 23% of the female workers are satisfied in their job.
