Alan puts on his combat boots and joins the Syracuse Police Department as head of its Swat team. While training a team in Tallahassee he leads his men as they save young children stuck on top of a Ferris wheel. Later, along with his sister and brother-in-law, he goes searching for a serial killer who has been raping and murdering prostitutes. Ashley, following her father's footsteps as a lawyer, finds herself up against none other than her father in a sensational lawsuit against a prominent soccer player. Eventually, she also moves to the Sunshine State where she joins a Dolphin Springs law firm. There, she meets and marries, Steve Clarke, one of Alan's co-workers on the police force. The Willis family is all together on a cruise, where they unite to apprehend the assailant of the ship's captain. In her final case, Ashley's parents join forces with her as she defends a neurotic young man who is accused of murdering his parents. Ashley's daughter is abducted. Once again, the family unites and works their way through another crisis.
