Technoscience is an integral part of humanity and promises, at every step of historical progress, the improvement of the present and the future by providing well-being. This well-being is partially accompanied by uneasiness. From uneasiness, fear and hatred result. Fear of danger and disasters caused by the applications of techno-scientific conquests, such as technological wars that raise big problems; fear of the manipulation of the human genetic heritage, where it is unknown what the human species will be like in the future; intelligent machines used in wars, in automation, industrial work, cause of unemployment and human dependence. The mistrust, human insecurity of technoscience generates the technological syndrome, a fatal vision of technoscience. But mankind loves technoscience for its well-being. From well-being comes the love of technoscience for meeting basic needs: food, transportation, communication, health, work, entertainment. And so the power of technoscience is ambiguous in that it can both save and destroy.
