The purpose of this book is to investigate the effectiveness of English language in higher education of Pakistan. A case study was conducted from six universities of Pakistan, and 516 students and 84 students are also the part of the research. This study also evaluate the effectiveness of communication skills especially, development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, and find out about the effectiveness of English language in terms of the goals and objectives, methods and materials and evaluation procedures. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed, and given to six hundreds participants from the different departments of the top 6 universities of Pakistan. The results of the study revealed that the participants were generally satisfied with the statements since most of the answers given in the questionnaires were around "moderately," which meant that all parties had generally favourable. Perceptions about the effectiveness of the English language, regarding the achievement of the objectives, effectiveness of the methods, materials and evaluation procedures as well as the coursebook.
