An experiment was conducted to assess the effect of sulphur levels and sowing methods on mustard. The twelve treatment combination comprising four sulphur levels viz.0, 20, 40, 60 kg/ha and three sowing methods viz. broad casting, line sowing, and border method were arranged in randomized block design with three replication. The observation was recorded in growth, yield and yield contributing characters. Addition of sulphur enhanced the growth, yield and yield contributing characters with each additional dose of sulphur, however application of 60 kg S/ha encouraged the yield of mustard economically, uptake of nutrient (NPK and S kg/ha) and oil content of seed. Sowing method did not influence the plant population initially and at harvest both. The plant height and number of leaves/plant were increased in broad casting method. Whereas number of branches/plant and dry matter production were enhanced in border method, seed yield was not materially variated due to sowing method. Higher amount of oil content and low uptake of nutrients (NPK and S kg/ha) were also determine in seed production in border method.
