Drops of Tears in the Desert is a collection of poems that I wrote while staying in a township. I lived amongst people who drank alcohol daily. There were also students who had relationship with employed married men. These girls were after fashion clothes, shoes, cell phones, laptops and cash. They owned expensive cell phones and laptops which they bought with money from their prostitution. They did not regard themselves as prostitute thought. One young woman, 27 years of age repeating Grade 12 told me she loved money. She knew she was not working or running a business but she had to have money. I also wrote these poems based on pains of unloved children and the suffering of African women. These are poems about sorrows that people experience daily. Someone said "big problems needs big prayers." I agree with these and add that big problems needs prayer, fasting and sometimes praying on a mountain or desert alone or with a group of dedicated brethren with similar battles.
