Jill West, a C.I.S. instructor at Georgia Northwestern Technical College, brings a unique cross-section of experience in business, writing and education to the development of innovative educational materials. She has taught students of multiple ages -- K through college-level -- and has embraced a variety of content using a flipped classroom approach, distance learning and a hybrid teaching approach. She has also provided highly valued educational counseling. Ms. West has been instrumental in designing and authoring critical-thinking simulations for several of Cengage s computer courses. She regularly presents at regional and national conferences and international webinars, frequently offering CompTIA certifications for students and train-the-trainer sessions for instructors. She s also a member of the 2019 inaugural cohort of Faculty Ambassadors for A.W.S. Educate. Ms. West and her husband, Mike, live in northwest Georgia with three children at home and one in college.
