The text focuses on the first-hand testimony of one of the most prominent actors of the actions of Cuito Cuanavale. He narrates his experiences in a diaphanous and simple way, as was his own life, in which appears the commitment with his time and his country; testimony that goes equipped to the recreation of a singular human experience, if we take into account that the war is a phenomenon that sometimes puts people in a state of limit and forces them to face situations not even imagined; even for those who are outside the battlefield, who lead and are responsible for the lives of many people, the triumphs, but also the defeats.
