The lessons learned have been many. I have had to seek God in stillness of mind and heart. I praised Him often for His goodness and for all the beauty I see around me. I've talked a lot about predators and being safe and finding that place of safety. True safety can only be found when you are abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. I have also learned more about being dependent upon God. A lot of people in the country seek for self-reliance. It's all about what they can do and have with the work they do. Yet it is God who is in ultimate control of the winds and the rains, the times and seasons of life. These are lessons that can be learned anywhere you can shut the world off for a while and be still. You need a time of silence away from the noises of life that bombard your mind and soul. I pray that you enjoyed both the lighthearted look at the country life and the more serious lessons to be learned. God is speaking to you all the time in many different ways and situations if we only have ears to hear and eyes to see that lesson.
