In this book are 75 hearty recipes, any of which would taste great on those cold winter nights. Because they were collected from various sources, the format in each one may differ. In one the serving number may be first. On others it may be further down on the page. Where available the nutritional information was preserved and added to the recipe. While some recipes are low carb/low fat, that is not the intent of the recipes in this book. They are for the most part "comfort" food which normally is not low in calories or saturated fat. However with that said, most recipes can be made more healthy by substituting some items with healthier options, with no noticeable changes in the dish. Finally the photo with each recipe may or may not be of the dish, but instead a representative of an ingredient in the dish as some photos of the dish itself were not available. Writing a food book was different for me as I usually write about health and fitness.
