Population aging is more or less a global phenomenon. In India too, the size of the elderly population is growing fast. Many elderly individuals have multiple medical conditions, but little is known about their current morbidity patterns in the Agra region of India. Therefore, understandably as well, knowing the elderly health problems and health-seeking behavior is perhaps a prerequisite for improving comprehensive healthcare provisioning for them. Aged patients visiting this solo General Practice were not keen on just prolonging their lives, but were trying to take care of their health issues so that they do not become bed-ridden or a perpetual liability for anyone. They wanted to retain their senses, mobility, and the ability to perform their activities of daily living without being dependent on anyone. Many of these patients had financial limitations and could not afford costly investigations, costly medicines or costly procedures. Suitable recommendations are also being made for improving the healthcare especially for the elderly.
