This article presents an analysis of the barriers and challenges faced by the trans population, in terms of the provision of the fundamental right to health in Colombia, in relation to the different procedures and treatments required to achieve sexual reaffirmation; the reality of the diagnosis of gender dysphoria and the existing shortcomings in the Health Promoting Entities (EPS), with respect to the differential and gender approach, due to the widespread transphobia in all the members that make up its staff, are evidenced. The above, in order to open doors to the debate on the subject and to make conclusions that make the situation visible to the community in general, to the State and its institutions responsible for the provision of the right to health, so that the existing provisions on Human Rights and other guarantees that are being violated and unknown to this population, within the framework of the right to health, are respected and applied in a correct manner.
