This study aimed to evaluate the chemical profile, determine phenolic compounds (TPC), total flavonoids (TFC), and a refraction index of Citrus x sp essential oil (EO), as well as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiarthritic activity. The EO of Citrus x sp peels was extracted using the hydrodistillation technique, and nanoemulsions were formulated using the phase inversion method. By chromatography, it was possible to identify limonene as the majority component (70.25%). The TPC and TFC quantified 227.645 mg ETA g-1 and 86.57 mg EQ g-1 respectively and the refraction index quantified 1.475. For antioxidant capacity, nanoemulsions present EC50 values of 9.10, 10.18 and 11.28 mg L-1 for NEO3, NEO1, and NEO2. In the anti-inflammatory activity, synergies S4, S5, and S7 were quantified at 4.63, 11.12 and 11.03 mg L-1. For antiarthritic, it is noted that S1, S6, and S8 showed excellent antiarthritic activity among the nine synergies formulated, with values for EC50 of 1.9, 1.69 and 1.98 mg L-1. It can be affirmed that the nanoemulsions and synergies from the EO of Citrus x sp presented satisfactory results, evidencing the efficacy of the synergistic properties that these present.
