The biosorption studies of Crystal Violet from aqueous solution have been carried out on Moringa Oleifera saw as a function of concentration, temperature, particle size, ionic strength and acids and bases. Moringa Oleifera saw was subjected to various treatments and the effect of pre-treatment and post-treatment have been studied in determining the biosorption strength, extent of biosorption, mode of sorption and Langmuir and Freundlich sorption parameters. Sorption of Crystal Violet as a function of initial concentration followed exclusively S-type isotherm. In other cases, H-type sorption profile has also been observed. The S-type is the representative of edgewise sticking of the adsorbed species giving the indication of no aggregate dye molecules on the surface. The H-type represents large size micelles formation with flatwise sticking at the surface. The increase in biosorption with increasing temperatures indicates the exothermicity of the process which is further supported by positive values of S° and more negative values of G°. The First order kinetics studies for biosorption have been carried out and the kinetic parameters have been evaluated.
