The footwear industry is increasingly competitive and demanding. Thus, quality tools are interesting alternatives for companies to increase their performance and improve their processes. This research presents the study of some process defects, produced in the assembly sector of a footwear company, observed through the use of the MASP tool. The objective of this research was to plan actions to reduce defects in the footwear of the company Bummer, using the MASP method, along with quality tools such as: Brainstorming, Cause and Effect Diagram, Five Whys, Flowchart, GUT Matrix, and Action Plan. The research was developed in the activities of the production process that most generate defects, as indicated by the company's management. With this research it was possible to know the process defects and quantify them, having, as a result, after the application of the MASP method, an action plan showing actions to reduce defects in the process. With the application of the MASP tool it was possible to verify the value of 1.35% of defects in the total of produced shoes in three observed activities of the process.
