WASA Lab. is responsible to monitor quality of drinking water. Results reports are arranged in form of monthly reports. About 82% samples were found safe for drinking purpose and 18% samples were bacterial contaminated in 2009. Sampling was done from locations where water samples were found bacterial contaminated under follow up sampling programme. Among 18% unsafe samples 2% samples were unsafe on the basis of physical tests reports and 16% on bacterial tests report. To remove contamination flushing of pipelines and chlorination was done by operation staff. Private samples are also received in WASA Lab. 28 samples for chemical analyses were received from Lahore and other cities as well, in 2009. Graph of fit and unfit samples may be changed and depend on chlorination process. Water samples from sources are safe for drinking purpose according to Analysis reports.
