The author Joseph E. Brierly of this collection of photoons got the idea for writing them while walking the Detroit Metropolitan Zoo in September of 2010. David H. Molitz, the author's brother, supplied his life long photography hobby to amass a huge collection of photographs of animals at the zoo. The pictures themselves without captions are even delightful to view. The captions composed by Dr. Brierly add warmth with a funny side to the creatures by giving them human traits. Photoons are much like cartoons excepting they are based on real-life photography. And the photoons often are social commentaries and cerebral at times. But the majority of the captions are understandable by children of all ages. Future plans of the author are to compose a number of animal photoon comics. This is the second issue. It is truly hoped that animal photoon comics will provide a delightful escape from the struggle to survive in an increasingly humorless world. Everyone should have at least one goo laugh per day. And animal photoons surely will supply the ammunition for it. Several books by the author are currently available at Amazon.com. One is a book of poems composed by Dr. Brierly titled "Poetry Lives Forever" subtitled "Rhymes for Our Times." Another book by Dr. J. Brierly is titled "Handbook For Excelling At Hockey And Living Smart." The author has also published software and books on optimizing chances to win a lottery and making winning bets at the Harness Horse Race Tracks. All of these books are available through Amazon.com and the author's Ebay store Doultonandmore. Dr. J. Brierly earned his Ph.D. in mathematics in 1975 from the Wayne State University. Most of his professional career involved applying mathematical and computer algorithms for military systems. The author won several professional international awards during his lengthy career working for the Department of Defense U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command in Warren, Michigan. Several future books are planned on the author's specialty in logistics modeling for large private and military fleets. The author has had his biography listed in the Marquis Who's Who of Engineering and Science as well as the Marquis Who's Who In The Midwest in recent years. He has published a number of professional articles. And has been a member of the American Mathematical Society for many years. He has given over fifty professional research presentations for professional societies over his career. For those interested in the professional articles by Dr. J.
