Prof. Dr. Tahir Hikmet Karakoç is a Full Professor at Faculty of Aeronautic and Astronautics of Anadolu University, Eskisehir, Turkey. He received his MSc and PhD in 1983 and 1987, respectively. He has published many papers at various national and international conferences, while he has authored several books. His research areas include aviation, energy and energy economy, gas turbine engines, fuels, isolation and installation.
Dr. C. Ozgur Colpan is an Associate Profess
or in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey. He received his PhD Degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and his Bachelor of Science (2003) and Master of Science (2005) Degrees from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. His research areas are mathematical modelling, manufacturing and characterization of fuel cells, organic Rankine cycles, heat exchanger design and modelling and thermodynamic modelling of integrated energy systems. He has co-authored several important publications in the field of fuel cells and renewable energy systems. He has been actively taking roles in the organizing committee of several international conferences related to energy and environment. He has also served as guest editor of several prestigious journals related to energy and aviation.
Dr. Yasin Sohret is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance of Suleyman Demirel University. He graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Eskisehir Osmangazi University in 2010. He recieved his PhD degree from Aircraft Maintenance Department of Anadolu University under supervision of Prof. Dr. Hikmet Karakoc. Sohret mainly studies on gas turbine engine measurements, combustion and fuels, energy and exergy analyses of thermal systems.
