This is a wonderful volume of poetry that will stimulate the hearts and souls of a multitude of readers. The stories range from "Living in a One Room Country School" to an epic poem about the fifty states of the US entitled "America." There are tributes to the author's wife, Honey; to Henry Ford; a description of the funeral for Nancy Reagan; and a story about a dynamic, small group of Catholic Priests and Brothers that quietly do such good work around the world; with a tribute to the one priest that was a deep friend of the author and his wife. This poem is in praise of a small international order called "The Crosiers." There is a real life story of a pedophile entitled "A Huge Secret" and a visit to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." These two poems deal with two subjects that are of great importance to the society in which we live today, where evil and good exists. Evil is the terrible pedophile; while the good are people who are in love with one another no matter what gender that love may include. One rather long poem is entitled "America's Great Ballet" about the worldwide game of playing baseball. There is another story that explores the effect of children's bullying other children, entitled "Bib Overalls and the Fat Girl." This Volume of Poetry will appeal to all ages. Younger readers will see how an older poet views the world he has lived in for nearly 79 years. Older readers will enjoy some of the poet's tales about life in general and his deep belief in God and the wonderful afterlife that can be experienced by all. So this leaves the in between aged readers who will be able to relate to modern subjects such as "The Short Time They Are Here" about loving dogs, along with inspirational stories that include a bit of Sunrise is everyone's life. Lastly, the Author's favorite poem is one that may someday become a great country western hit, entitled "If You Die in Three Days, I Will Die in Four."
