The interdisciplinary approach of the book shows up in the careful consideration given to many experimental techniques such as vibrational (infra-red and Raman), elec tronic (visible and ultraviolet), Mossbauer, magnetic resonance, and photoelectron spectra, with data for gaseous and solid samples as well as selected facts about solution chemistry.
