Despite the State's commitments and stated ambitions, the results show a striking gap between objectives and reality on the ground. The study highlights persistent challenges: lack of school infrastructure, shortage of qualified teachers, overcrowded classrooms, insufficient teaching materials and inequalities in access to primary education.Using a diversified methodology, the author questions the real capacity of the education system to guarantee free and equitable schooling. While the gross enrolment rate is rising, the net enrolment rate is falling, revealing the exclusion of many children. Highlighting the limits of educational governance, the weaknesses of funding and the impact of socio-economic crises on schools, this book is more than just a statement of fact; it is a critical and committed reflection that challenges decision-makers, researchers, community players and educational partners. It calls for realistic, contextualized and strategic reforms to build an education for the future.
