The first volume Migration and integration research - multidisciplinary perspectives is the opener for the Migration and Integration series and aims at a disciplinary reintegration of relevant research. Many disciplines are concerned with migration and integration processes from various perspectives, with different methods and theoretical concepts. There is a lack of transdisciplinary cooperation for clarification of concepts, theory development and empirical evidence. The present reader strives to settle these observable deficits and presents 13 contributions to migration and integration research from different disciplinary backgrounds. Prof. Dr. Heinz Fassmann ist er Bundesminister für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung der Republik Österreich. Dr. Julia Dahlvik ist Soziologin mit Fokus auf Migration und Asyl, Organisations-, Rechts- und Verwaltungssoziologie. Derzeit ist sie an der FH Campus Wien im Studiengang Public Management tätig. Prof. Dr. Heinz Fassmann ist er Bundesminister für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung der Republik Österreich. Prof. em. Dr. Richard Potz lehrte am Institut für Rechtsphilosophie an der Universität Wien. Prof. em. Dr. Hildegard Weiss lehrte am Institut für Soziologie an der Universität Wien.
