An amazing book for violinists the world over, this has it all for those looking for virtuoso passages, sound effects, as well as whimsical interactions with your audience. Levels intermediate to advanced, this is a reprint of the Carl Fischer 1910 edition that has been out of print for nearly 100 years 8.5"x11," glossy cover, as with all Edition Fleury publications, additional notes and blank staff paper at the end for teacher annotations, and your own additions.

Printed in German. Ludwig Abel's School of Mechanism first time in print for 120 years. Some of the best finger exercises for violinists period are contained in this book. Suitable for any player, this edition is taken from P. Jurgenson, plate 16057, published in Moscow in 1891. Jean Delphin-Alard was one of the foremost leaders in violin for the Paris Conservatory, after succeeding Baillot in 1843. His etudes, School of playing are still used today as standard methods of teaching.
