This study investigates the overlaps between political discourse and literary and cinematic fiction, arguing that both are informed by, and contribute to, the cultural imaginary of terrorism. It explores the ways in which clandestine political violence stimulates the collective imagination, a fact that has received little attention despite its cultural prominence. Whenever mass-mediated acts of terrorism occur, they tend to trigger a proliferation of threat scenarios not only in the realm of literature and film, but also in the statements of policymakers, security experts, and journalists....

While many studies focus on Obama as a politician, few consider his literary merit. This collection of essays approaches Obama's writings as a negotiation of literary tradition, rhetorical modes, and historical narratives. Obama, in turn, emerges as a notable figure within a long tradition of American literary-political authorship.

Our current political system puts too much power into the hands of the few and often produces results that don't work. The Solution proposes a plan that restricts the size and scope of the federal government while increasing the direct influence of the people. The goal is to make government simpler with full public accountability.
