This text examines the primary causes of crime and victimization while exploring criminological and victimization theories. This text is unique because it allows the student to become familiar with theories of crime causation while reviewing relevant research. Four of the chapters of the text are considered application chapters, which have criminological and sociological research that include the theoretical framework of the theory covered in the chapter.
